Andrew Clark's Bio

Andrew Clark continues to be one of the Boston area's most in demand freelance saxophonists since he graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1987. He has performed and/or recorded with national and regional acts and artists, including The Beach Boys, The Uptown Horns, Gary US Bonds, The Coasters, The Big Apple Circus, James Montgomery, Jeff Pitchell, Brian Maes, Ernie and The Automatics and many more. He led his own group from 1994-2006 and released two CDs. Follow him on Twitter @acsaxophonegigs for updates on his upcoming appearances. From 1995 to 2013, Andrew wrote for Saxophone Journal as their Rock and Roll Saxophone columnist. He also wrote cover story interviews for many saxophonists including Clarence Clemons, David Woodford, Ben Ellman, Skerik, Bruce Kapler, Crispin Cioe, Kenny Brooks, Richie Cannata, Joe Sublett and Angelo Moore. Andrew produced seven master class CDs for the magazine on a wide range of topics - saxophone techniques, microphone usage, sound effects, and electronic wind instruments. Andrew is an avid baseball fan and was at Fenway Park the night Dave Roberts stole second base off of Mariano Rivera in the bottom of the ninth!
