Matthew Condon-Rivera is a passionate and versatile tenor native to Topsfield, Massachusetts. Growing up amidst a hybrid of classical, pop and musical theater repertoire, Matthew developed an appreciation for all genres of music at an early age. Matthew took his love of music all the way to New England Conservatory, where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. During his time at NEC, he enjoyed developing a classical foundation through his coursework while also working independently as a contemporary songwriter and performer in the heart of the Boston music scene. Since graduating, Matthew has enjoyed leading the vocals for the band Moonglow, performing in local theater, and most of all, teaching. His philosophy in the classroom revolves around applying basic technique to any and all genres. Above all, he wants his students to learn to love their natural voice!
Matthew grew up on a farm complete with a large assortment of farm animals. One of his favorite stories to tell is the day he was run over by his pet Llama!
